Literature Text

I tell you "I don't know"
So I don't have to explain
How he breaks my heart
And it's all the same

We've heard this story before
We've had our time to bleed
But the hits won't stop coming
And he's never going to leave

I wish I could write to him
But he'd never remember
Just like he never remembers
Our December
And he never remembers
How his hand fits perfectly in mine
And how when he looks in my eyes
The tears still shine
But he'll never notice
He'll only ever see imperfection

My life now rests in packages
My only source of happiness
And once opened
It's just momentary bliss

I always thought that money could buy happiness
But that's only if the supply never ends
Money can't buy you happiness
It can only buy you friends

I wish I could write to him
But he'd never remember
Just like he never remembers
Our December
And he never remembers
How his hand fits perfectly in mine
And how when he looks in my eyes
The tears still shine
But he'll never notice
He'll only ever see imperfection

I look in the mirror
And see imperfection
A peer into my brain
Misdirection

And all I see when I look in my face
Is broken mirrors
Empty eyes
Hidden behind
A cover of lies

I wish I could write to him
But he'd never remember
Just like he never remembers
Our December
And he never remembers
How his hand fits perfectly in mine
And how when he looks in my eyes
The tears still shine
But he'll never notice
He'll only ever see imperfection

I'll pretend to be happy
Put on my game face
I'll only be a memory
Something he can't seem to place
And then January broke me.

If only lyrics like yours very used; sung instead of the - excuse me - bullshit, most artist sing today, how wonderful wouldn't that be?
I love the way you can actually feel, how much emotion and effort you've put in your songs. Amazing.
